Why I created myla

Everyone at a dental practice needs training.

We're on a mission to help everyone understand online threats and be able to defend themselves at home and at work when using technology.

Dentistry is a highly evolved sector of healthcare when it comes to digital transformation. Through the adoption of electronic health records, digital x-ray, intraoral/extraoral photography, and many other internet connected devices, dental offices have become one of the most complex digital environments in healthcare. The investment made by dentists to bring in cutting edge technologies has been impressive, but also adds many points of risk and vulnerability to hacking, data theft, ransomware and other types of cyber-crime.

Breaches, ransomware, data theft, hacking, and human error are all big worries for dental and medical practice owners. But they are often overlooked because there is a lack of specialists and information for the unique operational and regulatory needs of dental practices. Most other privacy and security companies are not specialized, or use complex jargon and scare tactics which just makes it even more difficult and mysterious for the average dental practice to benefit from.

Anne is here to change all that. The good news is that a simple security awareness training program can improve human defenses in healthcare practices by 87%, one study found. Cybersecurity awareness training works, and is a critical tool in preventing breaches, hacking, ransomware, and data loss to reduce healthcare practice vulnerabilities exponentially.

The truth is, dental teams need help from experts who care about their business and really understand the healthcare industry. Simply having IT support on hand is not enough. Anne Genge is a trusted name in dentistry who shares her 20+ years of experience to help practice teams with privacy & cybersecurity in a way they can understand and easily apply as their technology and practice continues to grow.

Every healthcare provider collects, stores and shares sensitive health information. myla is an easy and affordable solution to confidently protect against cyber attacks like breaches and ransomware.
